A meeting with the Prime Minister of the UAE was held in Dubai

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) – In Dubai, on the sidelines of the EXPO 2020 DUBAI World Exhibition at the national pavilion of Uzbekistan, Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Investment and Foreign Trade of the Republic of Uzbekistan S. Umurzakov met with the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum.

During the dialogue, the Emirates side emphasized the success achieved by Uzbekistan in the implementation of large-scale reforms in all areas of socio-economic development. The Prime Minister of the UAE highly appreciated the participation of Uzbekistan at the EXPO 2020 DUBAI exhibition with a national pavilion, noting this event as an important step in strengthening the country’s image in the international arena.

They emphasized the significant untapped potential in the further development of relations between the two countries. The parties expressed their readiness to make every effort to enrich the agenda of bilateral cooperation in the political, investment, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

An agreement was reached on accelerating the implementation of ongoing projects in such areas as energy, agriculture, infrastructure and healthcare, as well as on close cooperation to expand the joint investment portfolio.

On the agenda of bilateral cooperation, the parties highlighted the successful implementation of the program to improve public administration, carried out with the support of the Ministry of Government Affairs of the UAE. The launch of the Young Leaders Program was highly appreciated as a new step in expanding partnerships in this area of ​​cooperation.

The firm commitment of both countries to further consistent strengthening of mutually beneficial partnership was expressed and priority tasks for joint implementation were identified.

Also during the meeting, a study tour of the exposition of Uzbekistan was organized for the Emirates side, where the rich cultural and historical heritage of the country was presented in a multimedia format, its role in the formation and development of the Great Silk Road, as well as in the formation of Islamic civilization was presented, investment, industrial and the trade potential and development vision of Uzbekistan for the next decade.
