The Kyrgyz Republic strengthens energy cooperation with Saudi Arabia and the UAE – the ministers of the three countries held talks

Minister of Energy of Kyrgyzstan Doskul Bekmurzaev took part in the international strategic conference World Utilities Congress in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Energy.

Bekmurzaev arrived there at the invitation of the UAE Energy Minister Suhail Mohamed Al-Mazrouei. The conference brought together representatives of a number of Asian and European states.

During a bilateral meeting with the Minister of the UAE, issues of renewable energy sources were discussed. Bekmurzaev spoke about the potential of the hydropower industry of the Kyrgyz Republic and expressed his openness to cooperation for the implementation of joint projects and investments.

Also, the Ministry of Energy adds, Bekmurzaev met with the Minister of Energy, Prince of Saudi Arabia Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud.

“Our ties with the countries of the Arabian Peninsula are getting stronger. The efforts of the Ministry of Energy are aimed at modernizing the energy sector of the Kyrgyz Republic. We are looking for reliable partners with whom we can achieve great goals. We are ready to create all conditions for investors!” Bekmurzaev said.

Recall that in April a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Energy of the Kyrgyz Republic and a large energy company from the UAE. This company will study the potential of renewable energy sources in our country.
