Head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Minister of Energy of the UAE discussed the development of a green economy in Kyrgyzstan
Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Ruslana Kazakbayeva and Minister of Industry and Advanced Technologies of the United Arab Emirates Sultan Al-Jaber on September 22, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, discussed the development of a green economy. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In order to reach practical results, the Kyrgyz side handed over to the Emirates representatives a package of projects in the field of renewable energy sources, agriculture, tourism, development of “green” technologies and logistics of the Kyrgyz Republic.
In addition, R. Kazakbayev and S. Al-Jaber discussed issues of expanding bilateral and multilateral economic cooperation. During the negotiations, the possibilities of implementing joint investment projects in the development of the “green” economy in Kyrgyzstan were considered.
The head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic appreciated the visit of the Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suheil Al Mazrui and the heads of large UAE companies to Kyrgyzstan in early September 2021.
Special attention was paid to the issues of mutual support within the framework of international organizations. The Emirati side informed about its initiatives and candidacies put forward within the framework of multilateral institutions and asked for their support.
Following the meeting, R. Kazakbayev invited Sultan Al-Jaber to visit Kyrgyzstan.
